Just about everything we consume make it to the store shelfs by truck. Things can feel awfully lonely when driving thousands of kilometres day in & day out the way truck drivers do. There is time, some say to much time, to think! Perhaps thoughts about home, family, work & the issues of life . . .
Highway Ministry shares the Gospel and seek solutions to problems that road users experience when traveling. Road users, in particular truck- and taxi drivers, are confronted with a multitude of social and moral challenges which cannot be ignored. The problems addressed by Highway Ministry includes, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, marital problems, prostitution and prevention of HIV. The development of life skills forms an integral part of Highway Ministry’s approach to address the challenges mentioned.
